West Oz slab hunter Cortney Brown journeyed himself over to the Gold Coast recently to hang with Coolie Kid Jack Freestone. Jack's a new school competitive freak while Cortney's a laid back country lad who gets his kicks chasing waves that would scare the shit outta 95% of the surfers on the planet. The bank at Burleigh was as ruler edged as it's been in years so in among dodging the rain and crowds, good times and great waves were had by all. Watch out for a super long Jacky Free barrel that camera boy gave up on (Nightmares on Film Street?) and plenty of other drainers that he didn’t.
