"I was towed in by Ross Clark-Jones. This is the one wave that stuck in my head more than any of my other waves. Ross towed me in deep, the biggest swells were coming wide from the SW, I remember seeing a massing wave coming straight at me and breaking well in front of me, I hit survival stance and tried to draw the right speed to get around the section... It worked and I got shot around the whitewater and into the channel!!"
